Dr. David Samadi, urologic oncologist expert and robotic surgeon, provides advice on what foods to eat for improved sexual potency.
Watch the video that presents 5 of the most beneficial sexual-friendly foods:
1. Oatmeal helps erectile dysfunction
This popular breakfast food can help lower cholesterol, and it is a good source of L Arginine, an amino acid commonly used to treat erectile dysfunction.
What is more, wild oatmeals (Avena Sativa) are considered to be aphrodisiacs. L-Arginine has the role to help penile vessels relax. This process is vital for maintaining an erection, and, further, reaching an orgasm.
In terms of proteins, studies have shown that a serving of oats contains 14% of the recommended daily protein intake. What is the link between proteins and sexual health? Simply put, proteins give you an energy boost to perform better in bed.
An additional perk of oats is that they contain manganese, which improves hormone levels and functions.
2. Fertile effects of Chilli Peppers
Chilli Peppers are known to have big amounts of capsaicin, which can enhance blood circulation and can reduce blood pressure dropping effects.
Capsaicin is the chemical compound found in chilli peppers that are stored in the while filament the seeds are being attached to the chilli sheath. The primary stimulants of the metabolism systems are alkaloid particles. They stimulate the nerves in the penis, which in term contribute to a longer erection. Capsaicin is also appreciated for its effects on thinning the blood vessels. This way, the heart can easily pump more blood to other organs, including the penis. If you see your face flushing after consuming chilli pepper, that is the evidence capsaicin is taking effect.
3. Use garlic for improved bed experience
Garlic can considerably increase the level of testosterone in men. This leads to an increase in libido and erectile quality.
Garlic contains allicin, an active ingredient that animates the blood flow to erectile organs.
Another garlic compound is polysulphides. This substance improves the production of H2S, which relaxes the blood vessels and makes erections easier.
A “magical” combination that can work as a metabolism-booster is that between garlic and honey. All you have to do is smash 2 cloves of garlic and mix it with a honey teaspoon. Use this mixture as a natural treatment for ED for about 3 months. Positive results won’t be late to appear.
For best results, garlic should be eater row, optionally included in different recipes, such as soups or sauces.
4. Chocolate stimulates sexual desire
Studies have found that flavonoids and dark chocolate help improve circulation and blood flow, which in turn leads to longer, lasting erections.
Flavonoids are antioxidants that help repair the damages produced at the cell level and naturally protect plants from toxins. But these positive effects are also produced on humans. Flavonoids help lower blood pressure and decrease cholesterol, facts that are related to erectile dysfunction.
But be cautious and act in moderation. Too much chocolate can have negative effects on your diet.
5. Watermelon has effects on erectile dysfunction
Studies have shown that watermelon may have effects on erectile dysfunction. Its effects are similar to Viagra and can increase sexual desire.
Watermelon is rich in citrulline, an amino acid that helps relax the blood vessels much like Viagra. The amino acid citrulline is converted into the amino acid arginine, which directly contributes to the improvement of sexual potency.
A typical 4-ounce serving of watermelon (about 10 watermelon balls) has about 150 milligrams of citrulline.
It is recommended to eat about 3 1/2 cups of diced watermelon per day to match the L-citrulline levels found in other supplements.
Orange and yellow varieties of watermelon may have slightly higher levels.
This means you can eat less yellow watermelon to reap the same citrulline levels of traditional red watermelon.
