29 states already have legalized medical marijuana. 7 have legalized recreational marijuana. The active component in marijuana, THC, is much more powerful than the one used in the 1960s. It’s finding its ways in cookies, skin cream and baked goods.
Marijuana can affect brain development and memory. It’s also seen to prevent nausea from chemotherapy, reduces pressure in the eyes related to glaucoma and helps HIV patients regain appetite.
